LONELY WOMEN OF LONDON

Chelsea Clark performs in Ana Ingham's short play, LONELY WOMEN OF LONDON, at the Simon Studio, Drama Book Shop, Arthur Seelen Theatre in NYC on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 8:30 p.m.

Ana Ingham is the award winning author of fifteen internationally published novels (under two different names) and eight plays. Two of her plays ASTRONAUT FROM FINLAND and SNOWY NIGHT was performed at Brighton (U.K.) Theatre Fringe Festival in 2007. SNOWY NIGHT was performed at Hudson Guild Theatre in NYC as part of Avant-Garde Theatre Festival in 2012. Her three short plays A SUCCESSFUL WOMAN, SING SCHUBERT FOR ME and SELF DECEPTION were shown as part of the Midtown International Short Play Festival in 2012-13. Her musical comedy DREAM OF AN ENGLISHMAN was presented by THE SIMON STUDIO at the Midtown International Theatre Festival in 2013. Ms. Ingham lives in London and NYC.

Synopsis:
The year is 1947, and Arthur Binkman, once the toast of Broadway, has returned from a self-imposed exile with a new play. In order to determine if he still has “it”, a reading is arranged at the home of wealthy producers Horace and Kitty Manderly. With players including Arthur’s unfaithful ex-wife, his small town fiance, a former child star out of touch with reality and an unscrupulous actor determined to blackmail his way into the production, everyone is a potential target and everyone is a potential suspect.
